Come celebrate the autumnal equinox with me by learning a new skill you will take with you for many autumns to come!

“Fire Cider” is a term coined by Rosemary Gladstar that refers to an infused vinegar that contains many immune boosting ingredients, which is wonderful for flu and cold season. We will discuss all the ingredients that you typically find in a traditional fire cider, but with a FAMILIAR twist: we will also discuss apple magic, crafting simple spells, ancestral healing through herbs, and honoring your personal lineages and traditions through food and drink.

after discussion, we will weave a collective spell together and embody what we learned through the ritual. You will go home with a supply of fire cider for the coming flu season and a new skill that you can gift to others just in time for the holidays!

It will be hosted at CIVAL collective in walker’s point in their beautiful space. We may work in the courtyard if weather permits.

FAQs

Can I come late to a FAMILIAR workshop?
-please don’t. disrupting the material diminishes the magic for you and for others. The doors will close at the beginning of class.

Can I bring personal materials to incorporate into my fire cider?
-Please do! Bring any edible herbs or fruits that will enhance your practice. Also please feel free to bring pictures of ancestors, personal practice materia, or other objects that help you lean into the magic of the season.

Can I buy a ticket even though I’m not sure I can come?
PLEASE DONT! It happens almost every year that this class sells out and someone no-shows regardless. Let someone else have that spot who wants to be there, and email me if you want to set up a private lesson with a few of your friends instead.
